• Legislation
• Anatomy
• Ergonomics and Risk Assessment
• Biomechanics
• Mechanical Equipment
• Principles of safe Manual Handling
• Patient Handling moves: Sitting up, turning, standing, walking and sitting
• Dealing with a falling and fallen patient
• Correct use of active and passive hoists / slings
• Use of enablers such as banana boards & turntables

Course must be delivered on site to use equipment available and familiar to the participants.
